የአሜሪካው ፕሬዝደንት ዶናልድ ትራምፕ የተቋረጠውን የህዳሴ ግድብ ድርድር በኢትዮጵያ እና በግብጽ መካከል እንደገና የማስጀመር ፍላጎታቸውን በድጋሚ ገልጸዋል። ድርድሮቹን በቅርብ የሚያውቁት ፈቂአሕመድ ነጋሽ ትራምፕ “ይኸን ካልተቀበላችሁ ይኸ ይከተላችኋል” እስከ ማለት የሚሔዱ በመሆኑ ጉዳዩ “ከፍተኛ ጥንቃቄ” እንደሚፈልግ ለዶቸ ቨለ ተናግረዋል።

የአሜሪካ ውጭ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትር ማርኮ ሩቢዮ “አክራሪ” ባሏቸው የህዝባዊ ወያነ ሓርነት ትግራይ (ህወሓት) አባላትና በቤተሰቦቻቸው ላይ የቪዛ ገደብ ጥለዋል። የግጭትና የዲፕሎማሲ ተመራማሪ ነጋልኝ መኮንን፣ኢትዮጵያ ያለችበትን አጠቃላይ ወቅታዊ የፖለቲካ ሁኔታ ያላካተተ ያሉት ይህ የአሜሪካ እርምጃ ውጤት ያመጣል የሚል እምነት እንደሌላቸው ገልጸዋል።

አሚሪካ በህወሓት ላይ የቪዛ ዕገዳ መጣሏን በተመለከተ የወጣው መግለጫ “እንደ ማስጠንቀቂያ ወይም እንደ ማሳሰቢያ የሚቆጠር ነው እንጂ በራሱ ተጨባጭ ውጤት ያለው አይደለም“ ሲሉ የፖለቲካ ተንታኙ አቶ ዳንኤል ብርሀነ ለዶቸ ቬለ ተናግረዋል። እርምጃውን እንደ “ተግሳጽ“ የሚቆጥሩት ዳንኤል ቢሆንም ዲፕሎማሲያዊ ትርጉም እንደሚኖረው አስረድተዋል።

በ7ተኛው ጠቅላላ ምርጫ የተወዳደሩ ተፎካካሪ ፓርቲዎች የፌደራል የህዝብ ተወካዮች እና የክልል ምክር ቤቶች ለመግባት የሚያስችሏቸውን መቀመጫዎች አግኝተዋል ፡፡ በተለይ በደቡብ ኢትዮጵያ ህዝቦች ክልል በአንጻራዊነት የተሻለ ሊባል የሚችል የወንበር ቁጥር መገኘቱ የብሄራዊ ምርጫ ቦርድ ይፋ ባደረገው የውጤት መግለጫ ላይ ተመልክቷል ፡፡
